The Tom Mison Interview – MCM London Comic Con May 2016

I’ve been eyeing Tom Mison for quite some time now, after seeing him in Sleepy Hollow. As some of you might know, I’ve previously had a chat with two other people from the show: Neil Jackson, which you can read here, (whom I’ve exclusively interviewed again this weekend and that will be posted soon) and John Noble, which you can see here.

For those of you who do not know, Sleepy Hollow is an American supernatural drama television series that premiered on Fox on September 16, 2013. The series is loosely based on the 1820 Halloween short story “The Legend of Sleepy Hollow” by Washington Irving with added concepts from “Rip Van Winkle”, also by Irving. The series is set in real-life Sleepy Hollow, New York, although it portrays the town as much larger than it actually is. Tom Mison plays Captain Ichabod Crane, an out of his time gentleman who fights together with his partner the monsters which want to take over Sleepy Hollow.

Luckily, Tom Mison was present at MCM London Comic Con this past weekend and I got to do a very funny and insightful round table with him.

What I do want to emphasise about Tom Mison, even if you maybe have picked that up from the above interview, is how genuinely lovely he is. Some of you might have met him, others might want to, but for me, when you cross paths with an actor on the hall, hours after the interview and he grins and waves at you going “Hope to see you soon!”, you know you’ve found a gem of a human being, not only a very talented actor. Here’s to hoping, maybe next one will be an even longer chat.
