London College of Fashion, UAL hosts MA17 Menswear Catwalk

London College of Fashion, University of the Arts London hosted its MA Menswear catwalk show at St John Smith Square on Friday 6th January 2016.

The show, part of LCF’s annual graduate season, featured collections from nine graduates from the MA Fashion Design Technology Menswear course. Make up was provided by Claire Mulleady and the M∙A∙C PRO team and hair by Louis Byrne. The show was styled by

The nine designers Soo Jin Cho, Jooin Yang, Wentao Shi, Tak Lee, Peng Tai, Shu Yao, Zhenhao Guo, Chang Zhang and Changxi Shao were selected for the show by a panel comprised of Angela Lambert, buyer at Yohji Yamamoto; Anders Sølvsten Thomsen; menswear designer Domingo Rodriguez alongside Head of College Professor Frances Corner OBE and Dean of the School of Fashion Design Technology Jose Teunissen. Professor Frances Corner OBE, Pro-Vice Chancellor of UAL and Head of London College of Fashion said, “LCF’s MA Menswear show offers our graduates a platform to showcase their collections to a global audience at a time when the industry is celebrating UK menswear. This is a vital opportunity for our young designers setting out in today’s ever changing and increasingly challenging fashion environment.”

The MA Fashion Design Technology Menswear course runs for 15 months and has an international reputation for challenging the conventions of fashion design and refining talent to produce some of the most forward thinking creatives in menswear design today.

London College of Fashion will continue its MA17 graduate season with the MA Womenswear catwalk show on 16th February and the School of Media and Communication Degree Show 2017 on the 16th Feb – 26th February. The public exhibition, held at the House of Vans, will showcase the work of LCF’s media and communication students giving the media, industry and public the opportunity to be inspired by the next generation of fashion leaders.
